2008, 6 minutes, Super 8mm with CD sound

I accepted Jason Fulford’s invitation to show a film in a J+L Books Variety Show at the Aperture Gallery, but forgot that I’d be out of the country on the night of the event. Melinda Shopsin, my wife, appeared instead, acting as projectionist for a film that she had never seen. Before leaving I taught her how to project Super 8 film, gave her the CD soundtrack and left specific directions on how to set-up the screening. Most importantly, I asked that she not preview the film or listen to the audio beforehand.

Melinda Shopsin presents Andrew Lampert in the latter’s absence, a short subject or two taken from life projected in slow motion with sound separate.
